This story reminds us that sin is not only recorded in the sky,
but also leaves its mark on the hearts and souls of humans.
Junaid al-Baghdadi rahimahullah is one of the great waliyullah, a Sufi imam, and a spiritual teacher known for his keen insight (insight).
In this story, one of his students almost fell into a sinful act. But before the sin occurred, Allah revealed a terrifying warning: his face turned black as a sign of the evil intentions hidden.
For three days, the student lived in fear, shame, and regret—until finally a letter came from his teacher.
The letter was not just a reprimand, but the love of a wali who looked after his student even from a distance, with Allah's permission.
Through this story, we learn that: • Bad intentions are worth a sin if left alone
• God reprimands His servant in a gentle way before punishing
• Wali Allah takes care of his students not by force, but by prayer
• Honest repentance can erase the traces of sin, outward and inward
May this story be a reminder for all of us
to guard the intention, purify the heart,
and immediately return to God before sin hardens in the soul.
