His devices were simpler, cheaper, and more durable than those from England or Germany. Lilpop was a true killer of the competition – his machines became a symbol of progress and the economic independence of the Kingdom of Poland. Hell of Success and Luxury in the Alleys 🏛️ He lived like a king – his villa stood where the US Embassy in Warsaw now stands. He loved art, supported musicians, but worked beyond his strength. This punishing pace and the fight for Polish industry exhausted him prematurely. He died in France, at the age of just 49, at the height of his power.
