Kids Building Wisconsin is a free, fun, and educational event for kids and families centered around the construction industry. Now hosted at Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI, the event features 60+ interactive, hands-on exhibits presented by local trades, contractors, and industry partners, giving kids a chance to explore, build, and learn through real-world experiences.
Kids Building Wisconsin 2026 will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Kids Building Wisconsin is designed to inspire curiosity and encourage interest in construction-related careers. The event is 100% free and open to the public (with food available for purchase) and includes big construction equipment, engaging hands-on activities, special guests, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to learn while having fun.
