Established in 1989, Hindustan Power Instruments Pvt. Ltd. is a pioneer in designing and manufacturing SMPS-based power supplies. The company introduced India’s first digital readout bench-top multi-output power supplies, which quickly set an industry benchmark. By 2000, they developed the country's first SMPS-based adapters for communication purposes, approved by BSNL, and supplied to leading companies like Himachal Futuristic Communication Ltd., ECIL Hyderabad, ITI Bangalore, and Crompton Ltd. These innovative products were also exported to South Africa and Singapore, marking the company’s global presence.
