Art Stone Hatika: One with the Stone
I am a Stone Restorer from the UNESCO city of Gjirokastra, Albania. I don't just work with stone; I live and breathe it. I sleep and wake up with the stone—we are one.
This is a 65-year family legacy started by my father, Master Habip Hatika, the finest craftsman of this city. I carry his name with pride, but I know that a great name survives only through hard work and sweat.
Every day, I honor his memory by putting my soul into every hammer strike, every slate, and every arch stone (qemer) I touch. From traditional stone roofs to arches, vaults, and domes—we preserve history through tireless dedication.
