Dear Grandpa, It's Michael is an ongoing autism family film project based on the real life of Michael Whitell. He was diagnosed with autism at Age 2 & was mostly raised alone by his mom Karen, with help from her parents until they both died. Doctors told Karen that Michael would not live a normal & independent life because of his autism. Despite that, Michael proved them wronged, with the unconditional love and support he received from his mother Karen & her parents. Now older, our film will depict Michael writing a letter to his grandpa in heaven about the life he has lived & the future he is looking forward to!
This film project is being produced by Canadian filmmaker Tyrone Greenidge, president of the upcoming film production company, My Three Angels Pictures Inc (M3A Pictures). Tyrone met & befriended the Whitell Family when Michael was 4 years old & wants to show their incredible journey through film!
