As a movement guide, for over 35 years, I have worked with many different types of people: Some older, some younger, some with special needs and some who are more athletic.
My earliest practice was in Aqua Fit, Land Fitness, and High Impact Aerobics. However, I became dissatisfied with the injuries and brutality of these modalities and decided to explore Yoga(s) as a way to moderate these influences.
Vinyasa, Power Yoga and Yin yoga were formative, but my deepest understanding came from the advanced teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, Esther Myers & Monica Voss. I'm honoured to have been a part of that tradition, and I’m glad to have studied and accumulated academic qualifications over the years, but today I choose the more humble term "movement guide".
This speaks authentically to my calling, my passion, and my mission - which has always been to help people move more freely and live more fully.
