Welcome to Yoga, Movement and Mindfulness. I’m a certified yoga teacher and mindful eating coach. I’m a runner and weight lifter who believes in training smart and feeling good. I’ve created this channel to help motivate and get you moving towards a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I’ve spent over a decade creating this for myself, and I want to share it with you. Through yoga and movement I’ve learned how good the body is able to feel when we take the time to become aware of what it’s trying to tell us. Here I’ll share FREE YOGA classes, meditations, and mobility exercises to help you train harder and recover smarter so you’re able to feel your best.

Do you work on strengthening your shoulders?
How about your shoulder mobility?
Do you stretch & warm up your shoulders before you train?
All of these poses can be done to help you in those areas. Grab a yoga strap or a bath rope belt and try some of these moves.
Shoulder flossing from a prone position while in locust, seated shoulder flossing and a stretch is probably one of my favourite mobility moves for the shoulders.
Forward fold over a block feel can help stretch the low back and hips a little more with support, try clasping your hands behind your lower back then letting them naturally fall over your head to get deep into the shoulders as well.
Puppy dog pose, or child’s pose are both excellent for opening the shoulders, try them with your elbows on blocks, bring the thumbs to the back of your neck to intensify the stretch in the shoulders & triceps.
Threading the needle from table top, puppy dog or child’s pose is a beautiful twist and stretch for the shoulders and thoracic spine.
Downward dog or dolphin (when you come down on to forearms) are both excellent shoulder openers as well, they can also help build strength.
Try some or all of these poses and let me know how they go. Be mindful and make sure you can always breathe and never pushing into pain.

I do beer yoga for fun, I take my cannabis and yoga however a little more serious. It has profound benefits and the practice has been around for decades. There’s a time and place to incorporate cannabis into your practice, I don’t recommend everyday or every time you roll out your mat. Like a prop, it can be used to enhance your practice, act as a support to help you relax and find ease to just breathe.
I suggest beginning by making a comfortable safe space where you won’t be interrupted. Start with a small dose of either thc or cbd.
(**Some advice, you can use cbd to bring your thc buzz down)

A calming and relaxing YIN & SOUND BATH

Are you getting in some movement today?
Yesterday I shared some of my warm ups and mobility moves with you. I can’t stress enough how important both are. Warming up helps with better flexibility to your muscles, joints, connective tissue such as tendons which in turn will prevent from injuries. Your arteries get streamlined to balance your heart rate to handle all your efforts towards training more efficiently.
Today I’m sharing a sample of my weight training routine. I mix up some workouts from time to time. A mix of at home and at the gym but I do a lot of the same old basic moves with a little spice sprinkled here and there. You don’t need a 5 day workout plan either. 2-3 days a week of weight training is amazing. I recommend your plan consist of a Push, Pull & Leg day. I like to do super sets to make the most of my time. Pick and choose a few workouts or try them all, try 3 rounds or maybe 4.
*I am not a personal trainer, I have been lifting and training for 10 years and have worked with amazing trainers over the years. This is a plan I created for me and something I enjoy. Just sharing a glimpse at what I do. Be safe, train smart, watch videos for alignment and correct ways to lift. Be mindful and listen to YOUR body*
