Pastor Terry and Jody Wakefield arrived in Austin in May 1997 and began holding bible studies in their home. In January 1998, they leased a commercial space on Rutland Dr. 6 years later, they moved the Church to Yager Ln. 5 years later, in July 2009, the Church purchased property at 13461 Pond Springs Rd, where the Church is now. Today, the APH sends out and supports couples to pioneer new churches as the Wakefields did in 1997, and currently has 4 domestic daughter Churches and 1 international.
