Step-by-Step “Loosening Trick”

Unplug the washer
Safety first — disconnect from power.

Remove the center bolt
Use your 10mm wrench and take it out completely.

Apply loosening aid

Spray a little WD-40 or pour a few drops of coconut oil into the bolt hole.

Wait 5–10 minutes to let it soak around the shaft.

Warm up the joint

Pour a bucket of hot water (not boiling) into the tub — just enough to cover the pulsator.

Let it sit for 5 minutes.
The heat softens detergent deposits that lock the pulsator onto the shaft.

Tap to loosen

Re-insert the bolt only halfway (2–3 turns) — this protects the thread.

Now place a cloth over the bolt head, and gently tap upward on the bolt head using your mallet.

Give light taps, then pull the pulsator straight up while wiggling side to side.

⚠️ Don’t hit too hard — 3–4 light taps usually break the grip.

If still stuck:

Slip two flat screwdrivers (opposite sides) under the pulsator edges — cover them with cloth to avoid scratches.

Gently lift alternately left and right, while pulling upward with your hands in the center.

Once loosened:

Remove the bolt completely and lift the pulsator off.

Clean the shaft, apply a thin layer of grease or petroleum jelly before reinstalling.

✅ Bonus Tip:

Next time, when reinstalling — add a drop of oil or grease to the center shaft before tightening the bolt. That will make removal much easier in the future.
