Carlotta Centanni, known to friends as “Charlie” is an Italian singer, songwriter from Rome, now living in Sydney, Australia. She is the granddaughter of Armandino Zingone who played with the legendary Renato Carosone in “La Dolce Vita” - the golden age of Italian music. Her music builds on her heritage and is influenced by Pop, Rock, Jazz, Soul, Funk and Bossanova. Her voice has been compared with that of iconic Italian Pop Superstar, Mina Mazzini (who was her mentor in Italy) and has been described as “smoother than Diana Krall”. She has performed live all over the world singing in Italian, English and Portuguese. She has a captivating stage presence which engages her audience on a intimate level, gliding from the elegance of jazz, to the romance of Bossanova, with the energy of pop and power of rock. She has written, produced and recorded two successful albums of original music (available on Apple Music and Spotify); “Respiro” and “Rome to the Land of Australia”.
