VAAC (Voting Access for All Coalition)

The Coalition is dedicated to ensuring individuals with criminal records in Michigan are empowered to exercise their right to vote in every election. We have four primary goals:

Community Voting Outreach: Informing individuals with felony convictions and/or on parole about their voting rights and facilitating their participation in elections.

Jail Voting Outreach: Providing education and support to individuals held in Michigan jails pre-trial to enable them to exercise their right to vote.

Voting in Prison: Pursuing the long-term goal of influencing Michigan policy to allow for voting in prison.

Ending Prison Gerrymandering: Mobilizing community-wide pressure to end the practice of prison gerrymandering in Michigan.
