Hello Friends 👋

Mid-winter can feel loooong, right? 😩 The short days, the weather... it can really get you down. In today's video, I'm sharing a few gentle, practical ways to care for yourself during the mid-winter blues. We're talking about getting outside (even when it's freezing!), staying hydrated 💧, protecting your sleep 😴, and keeping simple daily rhythms.

This ISN'T about fixing everything or pushing through. It's about tending to ordinary needs with kindness and allowing the season to be what it is. ❤️

If you’re feeling a little low this winter, you’re definitely not alone! 🤗

Thank you for being here. God bless you, and have a peaceful week! ✨

Dear Friends,
I used to think that by 64, I would be winding down. But lately, I’ve realized that God often saves the most interesting work for the second half of our lives. 🌿
I’ve been thinking a lot about the pressure we feel to "step back" as we age. In my new video tonight, I’m sharing my honest heart on why I’m refusing to retire—not just out of necessity, but out of a desire to stay fully alive and engaged with the gifts I’ve been given.
If you’ve ever felt like society expects you to fade into the background, I hope this encourages you today. We are not done yet!

Wishing you peace this evening,
Suzanne

Why New Year’s Resolutions Don’t Work After 60
Watch the video here on Thursday!
If New Year’s resolutions feel exhausting instead of hopeful, especially after 60, this video is for you. January doesn’t have to be about rigid goals—it can be a time to listen to your life and notice what matters most.
In this Thrive Thursday reflection, I share gentle alternatives to resolutions, including small daily habits like reading most nights or moving your body most mornings. There is no failure here—only noticing. This is not a plan. It’s an orientation to living thoughtfully, faithfully, and well in midlife and beyond.
✨ Subscribe for weekly encouragement, simple lifestyle ideas, and faith-centered reflections for women over 60.

Are you feeling a little lost right now—unsure what God is doing, or where your life is headed, especially in this season after 60?
In today’s video, we’re sitting with Psalm 25, a beautiful prayer from David for guidance, courage, and mercy. If you’ve ever thought,

“Lord, I don’t know what’s next…”

“Everyone else seems farther along than I am…”

“I wish I could go back and undo my mistakes…”

…then Psalm 25 is for you. 💛
In this gentle Scripture reflection, we’ll talk about:
1. “Show me Your ways, Lord” – Letting God lead when you don’t have a plan
2. Waiting without shame – Trusting God when life doesn’t look ‘put together’
3. Bringing your past and regrets into God’s mercy

Are you dreading the holidays this year?
If you're facing the season alone—whether divorced, widowed, or never married—you're not alone in feeling that mix of loneliness and envy when everyone else seems to have the perfect family gathering.
But here's what I've learned: The greatest destroyer of joy is envy. The greatest restorer of joy is gratitude.
In my latest video, I share how this one shift can completely transform your holiday experience. No more just surviving the season—let's actually find peace and purpose in it.
I'd love to hear from you: What's one thing you're grateful for as we head into the holidays? Drop it in the comments below. 💛
