The original footage I filmed exceeds 2 terabytes.
As I tried to capture every detail as thoroughly as possible, the amount of footage grew quite large.
Originally, I planned to create a video longer than 3 hours.

However, knowing that many viewers watch on their phones, I felt that length might be too long for them, so I edited this video down to 2 hours and 20 minutes.

There are no subtitles in this video. Instead, if you have any questions, please leave a comment with the timestamp. I will then add subtitles at the specific points you’re curious about.

The video will be uploaded tomorrow. Based on this video, I will decide whether the next one should be more detailed and longer, or simpler and shorter.

Focusing on the work while filming is still very difficult for me.

I understand that some of you are comfortable watching long videos even on your phones, while others may find a long runtime a bit challenging.

According to the poll conducted yesterday, 70% of respondents said they watch my videos on their phones.

However, my YouTube analytics show that about 50% of my viewers actually watch on TV. Since this poll was not visible to TV viewers, that may be one reason many of them were unable to participate.

Watching a nearly two-hour video on a phone must have been quite demanding.
That said, I do not plan to make 20–30 minute videos.
Instead, I will carefully consider a video length that feels comfortable for mobile viewers while still being satisfying for TV viewers, and reflect that balance in my upcoming work.

I’ve re-published the two videos that didn’t perform well previously.

Some viewers had been looking for them, and I’ve decided not to worry about whether a video performs well or not.
And as many of you advised, when a newly uploaded video doesn’t do well, I’ll put filming aside for a while and focus on the shoe orders I’ve received to fill the income gap.

The new video is almost finished.
Normally, it takes me about 3–4 weeks to make a pair of shoes. But when I film the entire process, it takes 6–7 weeks to complete a pair.

To support my work financially, I recently had to make one pair without filming and deliver it to a client. Meanwhile, the pair I’ve been making for all of you—with full video recording—is now finally nearing completion.

The previous video unfortunately received many dislikes, had a low click-through rate, and low average watch time. Because of this, I had no choice but to pause filming for a while. I hope you understand.

I will upload a new video next weekend. Thank you always for your support. It truly means a lot to me.

A month ago, I measured a customer’s foot size, and the measurements turned out to be quite deformed. So, I measured again a week ago, and yesterday I picked up the custom last that had been ordered a few days earlier.

This project is a pair of Derby shoes commissioned by my close friend of 25 years, who runs a dog leash brand. He used to be a professional snowboarder, and because of snowboard boots, his feet became severely deformed—almost like a baby yeti’s feet.

For this pair, I’ll be using hand-dyed leather. I’ll be making the dye myself from tree bark, and of course, I’ll be filming the entire dye-making process to share with you.

The last video I uploaded, a full brogue Oxford, performed very poorly in terms of views. Hitting the ‘Like’ button and leaving comments really gives me a lot of energy to keep creating new videos. Thank you. 😊🙏
