Formerly Known As Me is an American musician and songwriter. He was the singer and principal songwriter for a number of rock bands and has had a solo career spanning three decades. Although not commercially successful during his existence, he has come to be regarded as one of the most influential songwriters in the history music. His distinctive deadpan voice, poetic and transgressive lyrics, and experimental sound are trademarks throughout his long career.
