Leadership clarity for high-functioning ADHD minds.

No hacks. No hype. Just structure and orientation.

Darrin Coulter

I like to have ADHD conversations beyond coping.

More specifically, stability and control.

Whether it be emotional control, decision, control or capacity.

Leading ourselves effectively starts with structure.

That’s how consistency happens.

I’m formalizing these weekly Signal Checks into something more structured.

No hype. Just structure. Built for growth.

More soon.

Working to understand ADHD is more than just self-awareness.

It’s pattern recognition.

When you see where dysregulation occurs,
execution becomes easier.

Clarity changes everything because structure does.

Signal Check 👉 Motivation

We all lose motivation (and yes, that’s okay).

Here are some helpful questions to ask when reduced motivation hits you the hardest.

1. What signals happen right before I lose momentum?

2. What signals appear when things are flowing?

3. Which signals do I actually ignore because I’m pushing through the friction?

____

When signals go unchecked:

- confidence slips ❌
- effort multiplies ❌
- self criticism is amplified ❌

____

Signal Check is about detecting the cues early, before things spiral.

Steady listening can lead to steadier decisions.

No hype. Just orientation. 🤝

Clarity is about seeing.

The better we understand how our brain operates, the less shame we carry and the more control we gain.

It’s about direction.

Turbulence isn’t negative.

Maybe you’re just early the clarity process.

Signal Check 👉 The Cost of All-or-Nothing Thinking

ADHD or not, there are times when certain people hold themselves to unrealistic and unsustainable standards.

But here’s the irony…

That mindset literally blocks momentum.

Here’s a suggestion, start by being decent (okay enough) and you’ll gain more clarity while you’re in motion than waiting for perfection.

_______

No pressure. Just orientation.

Own who you are.
Know where you are.
Move with direction.

Signal Check 👉 Working Memory

Our brains executive system is home to our working memory.

When our working memory center is overloaded and overwhelmed, clarity drops.

It's not a glitch.

It's not a motivation issue.

It's a bandwidth problem.

______

Who do you move with direction here?  Write things down.

Offload the important stuff and improve your bandwidth.

Then move forward.

______

No pressure. Just orientation.

Own who you are.
Know where you are.
Move with direction.

I say this all the time:

You’re not behind.

You’re just early — and getting clear.

Clarity is the best leadership signal.

No pressure. Just orientation.
