🧽 Where Are the Dirtiest States to Eat Out? 🍽️

A new crowd-sourced ranking analyzed millions of diner reviews (over 2.8 million from TripAdvisor) looking for mentions of things like “dirty restaurant,” “hair in food,” or sightings of rats and roaches to see which states get the most cleanliness complaints. 

Here’s how the Top 10 shook out: 

1️⃣ New Jersey – Topped the list by a wide margin with the highest number of dirty dining complaints.
2️⃣ Florida – Big tourist hubs like Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville fueled thousands of reports.
3️⃣ California – Most pest-related complaints of any state.
4️⃣ Arizona
5️⃣ Texas
6️⃣ Louisiana
7️⃣ Alabama
8️⃣ Maryland
9️⃣ Nevada
🔟 Georgia
(These rankings are based on online reviews, not official health inspections.) 

💡 Fun fact: New Jersey had over 320,000 “dirty restaurant” mentions — way more than any other state.
