My late dad started We Culture Nola and I want to continue to highlight local New Orleans music, food, people and culture that is not shown in mainstream. The non commercialized version of the city and surrounding areas.
“We are walking history”
We are a generation from first families of New Orleans, “The last of the native New Orleanians”. We are creating & keeping history alive while we are still here, before the city becomes a place of no roots & tour guides try to tell our stories. I would like for those who knew of their ancestors who actually lived in the 19th century to share their story on this channel. Not to many of us 8+ generations exist in the city, so I will start with my family and hopefully the channel will grow for others to share their family history of New Orleans.
